Winter Sun Inspiration

The days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing color and there is a distinct chill in the air. It is official, summer is over and it is time to plan an escape to some place warm and sunny!

So many choices, so little time. To make it easier for you, we have picked a few of our favourite winter escapes. As always these are just ideas and we will happily tailor make any trip to suit your needs.
Lake swimming

If you love the great outdoors, magical scenery and fascinating cultural history, you will adore New Zealand.

This magnificent trip combines the best in small luxury boutique hotels and helicopter transfers with a fascinating cultural project. Help a local Maori tribe with developing a sustainable farm that aims to create jobs for the community to bring back the younger generation that have lost their way.
South African game parks

South Africa has just done a magnificent job of hosting the World Cup. The beautiful scenery and incredible game parks have all been on  display. So, with everything shiny and the summer approaching it is a great time to visit.

Whilst you are enjoying the delights of Cape Town , you can take a few days to improve the lives of the poorer South Africans. Sink your teeth into the real local culture and perhaps play a game of soccer with some children from a township or sip a beer in a shebeen.
Children in Morocco

Sitting at the mouth of the Mediterranean, Morocco has always been a hub for trade, culture and arts and it continues to amaze and enchant its visitors. From snake charmers to story tellers, the old bazaars are awash with colour, noise and tasty snacks.

This short trip gives you a chance to immerse yourself in a Berber community and get a real feel for this ancient culture. Experience family life and assist with the repairs and construction of a local school.
Argentina Glacier

This long and at times skinny strip of land is home to huge variety of climates, landscapes and people. Famous for gauchos (cowboys), tasty steak and world class wine it is a fantastic place to explore and experience.

Whilst in the lively city of Buenos Aires you can also make a difference to the lives of underprivileged children living in so called "hogares" (homes), by teaching them valuable vocational skills.
Washing elephants in Thailand

Last but by no means least, there is the warm and friendly country of Thailand and the plight of its magnificent working elephants. These towering creatures have long been used in the logging industry and more recently to ferry tourists around. Unfortunately they are often subjected to incredible cruelty in the process.

This great project helps to protect and rehabilitate elephants that have been forced to suffer at human hands.
Of course there are many more adventures to choose from, so if you are looking for something different, just let us know and we will be more than happy to create the trip of a lifetime for you.
