If you feel you are too old to volunteer, think again! You can choose your level of accommodation, and this is not boot-camp, so we consult with you to provide a trip that meets your exact requirements.
Not only can you be enriched through volunteering, and dig deeper in another culture, but you can also get to see the scenic highlights of your chosen destination, together with an insightful local guide providing their unique perspective for you.

"My name is Susan Rendle, aged 59, I have recently enjoyed a volunteering holiday with" Hands Up Holidays" in Kenya. It was the experience of a lifetime in every respect. I spent 7 days as a volunteer in Shepherds orphanage helping with the daily tasks of caring for approx 40 children, aged between 18mths and 16 yrs, who live in abject poverty. Nothing could have prepared me for the primitive living conditions and hardship these children face every day, despite these privations they remain remarkably stoical and cheerful. The 7 days I spent with the children and my host family were the happiest of my life, filled with fun and laughter; their hospitality and generosity were overwhelming, they took such good care of me! I lived a lifetime during those 2 weeks and had many new experiences and adventures; I shall be returning soon ,to Kenya, to continue supporting the work at the orphanage. I have Christopher to thank for the excellent itinerary he prepared which included a luxury 3 day safari in the Masai Mara, I can highly recommend it." |
