If you want to have a voluntourism adventure combining sightseeing with a taste of volunteering, you are not alone as many of our guests are just like you (take a look at our new Solo Traveller Notice Board)!
With a Hands Up Holidays volunteer vacation you can:
Pricing your volunteer and sightseeing trip
We are working to remove the "single supplement" on as many trips as we
can, but currently these are payable if you wish to have a room to
yourself.
If you are happy to share a room with another traveler (of the same sex) then the price is as stated (shown on the right hand side Info panel).
Booking your voluntourism adventure
If you are the first person to book a trip, then we will devote special marketing efforts in order to secure more guests for your trip date - just two people are required to guarantee that a trip will run.
Additionally, we offer the option to pay a supplement in order to guarantee that a trip will go ahead, even if you are the only one booking it. Please do check with us for information on trips that have already reached the minimum number of travellers.
We are always happy to tailor-make a trip for you, if you want to travel on your own, with our expert local guides.
Here are a few quotes from previous customers who have traveled on their own:
"As a single woman, I was a bit worried about traveling on my own, but I am so glad I booked with Hands Up Holidays, as they took care of everything, and I had experiences I will never forget, whilst being safe throughout. The trip was superb and I received a fascinating insight into the country, people and culture. My volunteering was meaningful
and I must say I got at least as much out of it as the children did. Both the guides and drivers looked after me very well and told me things about their country and showed me places that I never would have found in a guidebook. The hotels were unique properties and oh so luxurious! I am already planning my text trip - to Peru!"
Annie Wilson- travelled to Cambodia
"I loved every moment of this experience; I discovered things I didn't know about myself, and I have met some amazing and inspiring people who will remain my friends forever. It certainly helped put my life in perspective."
Chantal Khoueiry, - traveled to India
"The trip was absolutely amazing!! Had a great time, it was exactly what I was looking for. Abdellah was a great host and working with the kids at the school in Talamanzou was an experience of a lifetime. I hope to return again in the future."
Bryan Baylis, - traveled to Morocco
