Your "Taste of Volunteering" Project
The volunteer projects here are very diverse and where possible aim to make best use of any specialist skills you may have. No matter what the activity, you will always remember the time you spent with these warm and generous people.
Trip Description
The beautiful islands of Vanuatu are characterised by rugged coastline and rolling lush green countryside, gushing rivers, cascading waterfalls, remote sandy bays and lagoons. This is a perfect place to explore and get to know the warm and hospitable people that call these islands home.
We begin in Port Vila, the capital, and easily become accustomed to its relaxed pace of life.
On your Grand Tour of Efate Island, you can get a feel for the tribal way of life, their customs and practices. Over your first few days on Efate, you can also enjoy tropical forests, plunge into crystal clear pools in the middle of the jungle, snorkel on majestic reefs and cruise the islands on out-rigger boats.
The highlight of the trip is your volunteer project and immersion into the vibrant and fun loving culture of your hosts. Form bonds with the locals as you work along side them in the repair and renovation of houses, schools, and bridges. Help protect the unique environmental, or share your knowledge and teach business and computing. Regardless of the activity, you will relish the time you spend with these wonderful friendly people.
Your accommodation whilst volunteering is in simple home-stays, so you really get to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Your trip finishes with more time on the water, be it by boat, snorkelling, or kayaking, and an epic day mountain biking in gorgeous scenery. It will not be easy to leave this tropical paradise and the new friends you have made.
