Trip Summary
Starting from Pemba, your amazing adventure begins with a village visit that is followed by drinks, whilst you watch the sun set over the mangroves. Your base throughout your stay is Guludo; a tropical, barefoot paradise, on a deserted sandy beach. Lapping turquoise waters, rustling palms and a sultry sun guarantee complete tranquility. Guludo has spacious beach-front bandas that give it a rustic and intimate feel. The service is delightful and complements the exotic fresh seafood-based cuisine.
After two days unwinding in the sun you are ready to tackle your Volunteer Project. You have a choice between developing a school playground, that gives the children a place to interact and carrying out essential marine conservation surveys. Both projects give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in another culture and help a region in need.
Your final stop is Rolas Island a great place to go bush walking in search of elephants.
