Or, you can choose either humpback whale monitoring, or coral reef surveying, in conjunction with resident marine biologists.

Trip Summary

Starting from Pemba, your amazing adventure begins with a village visit and mangrove sundowners.Your base throughout your stay is Guludo; a tropical, barefoot paradise, on a deserted, powder white beach. Lapping turquoise waters, rustling palms and a sultry sun guarantee complete tranquillity. Guludo has a rustic exclusivity with spacious, beach-front bandas and an intimate feel with character filled service and an exotic, fresh seafood-based cuisine.

On day 3 you visit the Island and then your Community Development volunteer Project takes place. Here you will help build a playground for one of the neighbouring schools, or you can choose humpback whale monitoring or coral reef surveying, in conjunction with resident marine biologists for 4 days. On day 10 you explore Rolas Island and then go bush walking spotting elephants. Your adventure ends on day 12, with an airport transfer.

The perfection of Guludo is sealed in its’ design, ensuring the presence of each guest actively benefits the local community and environment just by being there. But you will get to actively contribute to the community, by building a playground in one of the local schools, or helping preserve the natural features of the area: the humpback whales and the pristine coral reef.
