Your "Taste of Volunteering" Project

Environmental conservation - depending on the time of year, you can help with bird monitoring and tagging, tree planting, and even help maintain a footbridge to a bird lookout point.

Trip Summary

Upon arrival, have a relaxing day in Nairobi, on a tour, before your overnight train ride to Mombassa, from where you transfer to Malindi on the Kenyan coast. After a day relaxing, you will start your volunteer project with an environmental group, Arocha.

After  your four fulfilling days of environmental conservation in Watamu, the game parks beckon! Your first stop is Tsavo East Park, where you spend two days on the lookout for the ‘Big 5’.

This is followed by two days in Amboseli, in view of Mt Kilimanjaro (on a clear day), before a rest in Nairobi en route to the world renowned Maasai Mara National Park.

By the time you return home, you will have experienced three distinctly different safari parks, and should have seen lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, hippo, and maybe even an elusive leopard or cheetah.
