The project is in East Caprivi, and aims to provide alternate livelihoods for the local people through the construction and maintenance of community campsites.

Trip Summary

Your amazing adventure begins in Windhoek and your first destination is the Okavango Delta where you have unforgettable game drives. Experience a trip in a mokoro (dug out canoe) and an interpretive bush walk with expert rangers. Then fly over the Okavango Delta to Kasane and on to Chobe Game Lodge for two nights. Then, you cross the border into Zimbabwe proceeding to Victoria Falls where you will spend the following two nights.

Lianshulu Lodge in the East Caprivi, Namibia is your next destination, and will be your base for your volunteering. In addition to helping create community campsites for the local population as a source of sustainable income, you can also help as a teaching assistant in one of the local schools.

After bidding farewell to your new friends, you fly in a private plane to Okonjima, home of the AfriCats conservation foundation. Your trip ends back in Windhoek, via the bustling town of Okahandja, in time for your flight back home.

This trip, when combined with the extension trips “Exclusive Etosha” and “Sublime Sossusvlei” gives you a truly incredible, top end experience, whilst also providing you with the opportunity to impact on peoples’ lives through volunteering.
