Your "Taste of Volunteering" Project

Assist at the inspiring Happy Home, a project of the Rotary Club of Suva. Help with repair and renovation work, as well as relieving the daily burden of the permanent care-givers, with cleaning, washing, and meal preparation, thus freeing them up to focus on caring for the children. There are also opportunities to help with teaching or as a reading partner for the children when they come back from school.

Or volunteer at Homes of Hope and help teach (a Christian curriculum), or assist in the bakery and in various building or gardening projects. These projects include, building detached homes for mothers who are transitioning to independent living. Additionally, there are hiking trails to be cleared to create eco-tourism opportunities in the stunning grounds.

Trip Summary

This trip combines the warmth of the Fijian people with a rewarding program in Rotary International-run orphanage or at the Homes of Hope for solo mothers. You will treasure your time here, as you get to know the wonderful inhabitants of these islands!
