Amanoi’s location is superb: thirty miles (50 kms) south of Nha Trang, where gorgeous Nui Chua National Park rolls down to meet the azure South China Sea. The hotel overlooks a pure white sandy beach.
There are 36 stylish pavilions and villas, discreetly positioned through the woods. Many boast private pools and all feature sublime views of the countryside and shoreline. In classic Aman style, interiors are minimalist but comfortable and contemporary. The emphasis is on clean lines, natural light and plenty of space.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar are situated in a central pavilion with fantastic views, while the world class spa is located by its own tranquil lake. There are two hotel pools – one infinity pool up on the clifftop, and another down by the beach. There is also a gym, pilates studio and yoga on offer, as well as running and walking tracks. Amanoi can arrange guides, picnics and all necessary transport for excursions into the Nua Chua National park.
The coral reefs fringing the East Sea feature delicate staghorn corals, and are home to a myriad tropical fish including triggerfish. In the Vinh Hy Bay Sea Conservation Area, there are 307 varieties of rare corals, including 50 varieties recently discovered in Vietnam. Snorkelling is particularly enjoyable as the protection offered by the many rock islands ensures calm, clear waters.
Vinh Hy Bay is known as one of Vietnam’s four most beautiful bays, and exploring its interesting rock formations, hidden caves and secret inlets by kayak or Hobie Cat should not be missed. Fishing is the main industry in Vinh Hy Bay. You can experience the bustle of the fishing village on foot or by car.
