Chabil Mar Villas
On Belize’s pristine Caribbean coast, this boutique 22 villa resort provides all the elements of a classic beach escape – an all-villa layout, a private stretch of sand, tropical gardens and those all-encompassing Caribbean views – while its location, near the southern fishing village of Placencia, shares a little-explored corner of Central America.
The 22 one- and two-bedroom villas are uniformly spacious at 850 and 950 square feet, respectively, and all are individually decorated in a sunny tropical style with bright local artwork and Belizean wood. All the villas have private verandas overlooking the grounds or the Caribbean Sea.
The on-site Cafe Mar restaurant serves delicious Belizean cuisine, and for activities kayaks are available from which to spot the resident manatees, and Placencia village is just a short stroll or bike ride along the beach, with eclectic art galleries, souvenir shops and a few options for indulging in some ice cream.
