Kempinski Nile Hotel
This hotel feels suitably palatial for what is a grand city of kings. The rooftop pool in particular has a spectacular feel, and the rooms are plushly-appointed and enjoy a personal butler service. The spa is one of the grandest in Egypt and has a full menu of local and traditional treatments.
Almost biblical in its atmosphere, it’s hard to imagine a greater collection of the world’s most interesting antiquities. The city is somewhat chaotic, but that adds to the feeling of adventure as you hunt down the pyramids, sphinx and incredible museums showing off the greatest archaeological finds of an age.
