Part of a collection of luxury camps, Boulders is aptly named as it is surrounded by huge granite rocks. With just four spacious tents, the camp has an exclusive feel, and you can enjoy sundowners next to the open fire or breakfast enjoying the panoramic views of the plains.
Situated 30 miles (45 kilometers) south of Wolwedans and hugged by massive granite rocks, Boulders Camp is the latest addition to the Wolwedans Collection. The main area consists of a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck and open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed from the top of a mountainous rock plateau close by, delivering epic impressions of the vast beauty of the surroundings.
From Boulders Camp you will explore the deep south of NamibRand Nature Reserve. Guided scenic drives, or two to three hour walking safaris treading along the ancient hunting grounds of the bushmen, will easily fill your days.
Boulders provides a classic safari experience and the camp calls for a two night stay – ideally booked in combination with one or two nights at any of the other camps in the dunes.
This large nature reserve stretches for some 200,000 hectares, and is home to many zebra, leopard and baboon. Its location, set against the Naukluft Park and the Nubib Mountains, means that the reserve enjoys a diversity of landscapes, so there’s much to explore in a relatively small area.
